Kingfisher Graphics enjoyed a busy summer installing large format graphics into venues across the capital in preparation for The London 2012 Olympic Games.
From the Olympic Park, to Wimbledon, and also venues as varied as Hotels, train stations and supermarket car parks Kingfisher installed high quality Graphics in preparation for London 2012!
Our expertise in producing event branding was required as so many venues required bespoke graphics, and of course we needed to work to tight deadlines and remove the branding at the end of the games as though they had never been there! (We even required a few reprints as souvenir hunters claimed their piece of history by removing some of our large format prints!)
Our projects included 15 square metre floor graphics, temporary room structures, lenticular wall panels, removable wallpaper, mesh banners and marquees. So varied were the projects that prints were produced onto correx, self adhesive vinyl, paper, kapa board, foamex, banner, mesh, rigid pvc and card.
Our installation teams were kept busy long into the nights as time and access were restricted, quite a logistical headache particularly with travel restrictions and security clearance. However everything came together through good organisation, and of course sheer hard work!
A clever “Lenticular” effect graphic enabled a 1952 image to be viewed from one end of the corridor and a 2012 image to be viewed from the other! It proved a real talking point and offered a creative solution on how to maximise available wall space. Directly printed onto 20 sections of alupanel, which is an aluminium composite sheet, then folded to create the 3d effect.
