Kingfisher graphics recently carried out the rebrand for the A J Bell Stadium, home of Rugby teams, Sale Sharks and Salford Red Devils.
The rebrand included signage to the interior and exterior of the stadium.
Projects of this scale require careful planning to satisfy stadium management and sponsors expectations. The correct material usage based on expected lifespan of the signage needs to be factored in, and regulation approval has to be obtained and adhered too.
Key areas of the A J Bell Stadium include:
5 metre wide illuminated logo above the main entrance. Each letter of the logo is built up from stainless steel and lit internally with white LED’s.
Install required cherry pickers and all relevant risk assessments.
Player benches and tunnel
Bespoke graphics were required to brand this area. Graphics needed to be highly visible, and robust enough to stand contact.
Backlit banner skins were produced with necessary fixings to install in the existing stadium frame system
External Stand Signage
It takes a lot of planning to brand an 80 metre wall! The solution was to supply the graphics in sections of anodised aluminium sheets.
Gable End Signage
Anodised aluminium sheets were cut in sections and assembled on site. Careful planning was required to ensure that the printed sections would fit together well, whilst allowing for access issues during install.
