Foam centred board is an ideal substrate when weight is an issue, however care needs to be taken when handling as it easily damaged. Foam centred boards are recommended for interior use only. Certain grades of foam centred board are class 1 fire rated. There are different types of foam centred board using trade names such as “Kapa” or “Foam-X” Standard sheet thickness of foam centred board is 5mm or 10mm.
