Floor graphics
work well within themed exhibition or conference areas. In this example
an Avery matched floor graphic system was used. A roll of white Avery
self adhesive vinyl is digitally printed with a full colour design,
then an anti slip laminate is applied. The floor graphic is cut into
manageable sections, in this case 900mm wide, and then applied to a
suitably prepared smooth floor surface. For this project the floor
graphic used a step and repeat pattern which filled the entire floor
space area. The floor graphic tiles butt together so that no raised
edges are present. The overall effect personalises the floor space and
complements branded environments.
Different grades of floor graphics are available to suit varied end
uses. Limitations include carpeted areas and care needs to be taken on
varnished or painted floors where there is a danger of surface damage
once the floor graphic is removed. If in doubt it is best to apply a
small test piece to check suitability. No floor graphic can ever be
seen as a permanent solution and insurance has to be considered on a
project by project basis. Factors effecting insurance can be location,
public access and footfall.
A floor graphic system is available for external use and can be applied
to paving stones. This product is designed for a life span of several
months.
