The
“Strictly Summer Ball”, held in the Gold Marquee of Old
Trafford Cricket Ground in aid of Gary Keedy’s Benefit Year, gave
Kingfisher Graphics the perfect opportunity to show their skills in
event branding. The temporary, but mightily impressive, venue
came to life with the simple, but effective transformation carefully
carried out by Kingfisher.
Printed foamcore panels were produced to “jazz up” The
Cockspur Rum Drinks Reception area, which had to be installed without
any permanent fixtures touching the walls of the marquee. The
opposite side of the function room had similarly held panels of
pictures of Gary throughout his playing career. Both sets of prints
were totally personal to the theme they were portraying.
Inside the ballroom itself guests were entertained to a dazzling
display of dancing from “Strictly Come Dancing” stars
Darren Gough and professional couple Andrew Cuerden and Hanna
Haarala. Live music was provided by The Alex Charles Band
performing in front of three fabric banners specially printed by
Kingfisher for the evening. Soft, tactile, shimmery and incredibly
versatile fabric banners are a wonderful way of adding ambience to any
backdrop and suited the mood of the evening perfectly.
The event was a “must attend” social and Kingfisher
Graphics were delighted to support Gary at it, and felt justly proud of
the contribution they made to make the evening such a wonderful success.
