Kingfisher Graphics involved in
Paralympic handover ceremony at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the
birthplace of the paralympic games.
When artist Rachel Gadsen contacted Duncan Armstrong,
of Kingfisher Graphics, requesting help for exhibition
graphics for the Paralympic Handover Ceremony at Stoke
Mandeville Stadium he was only too glad to help. The graphic
requirement included roller cassettes, signage for the event
and six 2500mm square exterior banners which were to showcase
Rachels superb Artworks and act as a backdrop to the Event
Ceremony. As well as attending meetings in an advisory
capacity, Kingfisher Graphics produced artworks, scans, large
format digital printing for both interior and exterior
graphics and carried out on-site fitting, seeing the project
through from concept to completion.
The Paralympic
Handover Ceremony jointly celebrated the handover from Beijing
to London 2012 and remembered the 60th anniversary of the
Paralympic Games at its birthplace, Stoke Mandeville. The
event was a great success and Kingfishers Duncan Armstrong,
who attended the Handover Ceremony, was delighted to be part
of a truly inspirational day. I went to Sydney 2000
Paralympic Games to support a friend who was competing in the
Wheelchair Rugby Event, and so I was delighted for Kingfisher
to be involved at the 2008 Handover celebrations and meet with
past and future paralympians.
