The
Phoenix team celebrate their hard fought victory
The Kingfisher Graphics VIP Suite proved to
be a great success for guests from the Manchester Business community to
experience first hand the thrilling encounter between
Manchester Phoenix and Peterborough Phantoms. The game was won 3-2 on
the night (6-5 on aggregate) sealing Phoenix’s place in the
finals weekend in Coventry. The Kingfisher VIP Area includes a superb,
glass fronted viewing gallery designed and installed by Cheadle Glass,
which forms the main focal point for the new suite. Business sponsors
and guests alike gave this new venture a big thumps up, Ian Hudson of
Psycuity said his family and invited guests had a night they will all
remember for a long time. The atmosphere within the Altrincham ice dome
was electric as the Phoenix supporters gave vocal support to their
team. Kingfisher Graphics Director Howard Evans and Phoenix
owner Neil Morris were delighted to welcome many new faces to enjoy the
nights sporting spectacle, although Neil’s nerves were put to
the test during the tight, tense third period!
Neil stated “ I am delighted with the addition of this new
facility which is a superb resource for the participation of businesses
in support of the Manchester Phoenix. I strongly believe that
Manchester deserves an ice hockey team, we have a great product, with
magnificent fans, great staff, willing volunteers, and a team to be
proud of led by player coach Tony Hand MBE. I hope that the Kingfisher
VIP area which includes drinks and seating facilities will encourage
Manchester businesses to join with us as we look forward to the new
season which begins in September.
