| Marc
Jones of Sales Sharks visits Kingfisher |
|
| Thursday
28th January 2010 |
|
Marc Jones, the Sale
Sharks Hooker, took time out from his
rugby duties to view Kingfisher Graphics’ printed glass
panels
with Kingfisher's Duncan Armstrong.
The scale of the printed glass panels looked impressive even with 6ft
2” Marc standing close by. Welshman Marc recalled breaking
glasses as a youngster during his upbringing in Pontypridd -
fortunately there will be no need for Marc’s expertise with
the
superglue since the printed artworks use specially toughened glass!
Kingfisher Graphics are proud sponsors of Marc Jones for the
2009
– 2010 season. So far he has remained injury free and as avid
Sharks fans we wish him every success for the remainder of the
season. |

| Glass
cricket bat for Freddy Flintoff |
|
| Saturday
29th November 2009 |
|
This
amazing printed glass cricket bat was much admired at the recent Gary
Keedy benefit year event - "An audience with Freddie". The glass
cricket
bat was created by Cheadle Glass and measured an incredible 1200mm
long. Produced in 19mm thick optically clear low iron glass with
polished pencilled edging. Printing to such an elaborate shape is a
complex business but Kingfisher Graphics were up to the challenge and
printed both text and photographic imagery to the rear face of the
glass cricket bat. Andrew Flintoff's signature completed this wonderful
item which was duly auctioned on the evening. Pictured here from left
to right, Gary Keedy - Lancashire spinner, Wayne Deasey

| Kingfisher
fit graphics on ice |
|
| Thursday
10th September 2009 |
|
The
start of a much anticipated season approaches for Manchester Phoenix
Ice Hockey team and this year Kingfisher are proud to be involved with
this exciting, fast paced sport.
Over many years Kingfisher have fitted graphics in exhibition halls,
transport depots, warehouses and sports halls but never until now in an
ice rink!
Rising to the challenge our experienced team of fitters were tasked
with fitting graphics to the dasher boards at Altrincham ice rink, home
to Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey team. There were no slip ups (ouch!)
as the new graphics were applied around the perimeter of the ice rink.
Kingfisher Graphics large format print capability is ideally suited to
the needs of branding sports stadiums, from digitally printed self
adhesive stickers, to banners and foamex panels. We wish Manchester
Phoenix every success for the coming season.

| Foamex
panels for Stockport County Interview Room |
| Thursday
3rd April 2009 |
|
When Stockport
County
required a unique feel to their newly refurbed
interview room they called upon the services of Kingfisher Graphics.
Local designer Phil Grundy, (phil_451f@hotmail.com)
enhanced a wembley
crowd scene by the use of photoshop filters and typography to create an
atmospheric design. The design was then printed direct to foamex in
sections to fit three sides of the room. The end result was an
environment that captures the excitement of a big occasion football
match, which was much appreciated by Jim Gannon the Stockport County
manager.
Kingfisher
Directors Howard Evans and Duncan Armstrong entered
into the spirit of the occasion and are pictured wearing first team
shirts. Both directors are under no illusions as to their footballing
prowess and rest assured will stick to what they do best - large format
printing!

| Kingfisher
Graphics can now print white. |
| Tuesday
15 january 2008 |
| Kingfisher Graphics
investment in flatbed technology brings the advantage of being able to
print white. White can be used to back up colours on window graphics to
produce an opaque finish. White can also be used as a stand alone
colour for dramatic effect, for instance white snowflakes printed on
clear self cling for dramatic window displays. White can also be used
as a base colour on coloured substrates, with further colours
overprinted, a cost effective method removing the need to flood coat a
background colour. |
